This business networking event is great for people in the Watford area with a business or looking to start one. Our meetings are friendly and relaxed and you will find lots of help and support, plenty of new contacts and some great guest speakers.
Our event has open networking time from 9.30am -10am ( so don’t worry if you can’t get there before 10am) and then we start at 10am with introductions and the chance to share what help you need and what your business is all about. After a short break for more refreshments we will hear from our guest speaker
This month our speaker will be Karen Witchalls-Plunkett with “Presenting to Camera with Confidence & Impact”.
Because video is an absolute must for businesses these days, this talk aims to give you simple hints and tips on preparation, how to present to camera in an engaging and confident way and suggestions for cost effective equipment to use with your smart phone.
So whether it’s for video, Facebook Live or YouTube you’ll learn THE LENS is YOUR FRIEND!
Karen is a broadcast journalist & trainer whose background in Theatre, TV and Radio spans over 25 years. She presents extensively for corporate clients both in the UK and Internationally at conferences, facilitating events, product launches and videos. Karen now uses her experience to help others develop confidence in presenting to live audiences and on camera with her Businesses on Screen workshops and training, helping you get you over the fear of being in front of camera and learning the lens is your friend.
Additionally, Karen runs PMP – Perfect Match Presenters representing experienced presenters and VO artistes and with a track record of matching people to jobs in TV, Radio, for corporate videos and events.
Remember to bring along your business cards and any literature to share with the group, and anything you might want to display.
You must book in advance. Should you need to cancel, even on the actual morning, we will carry your booking over to a future meeting – just let us know if you can’t make it. There are no membership fees.
Although this Watford business networking group is aimed at Mums in business we welcome anyone along, so just book and attend – there is no membership, professional lock out or strict rules which are often associated with business networking.
