Businesswomen UnLtd – Harpenden Business Networking Group

This group is run by Carli Wall from Synergy Business Support.

We meet each month at The Skew Bridge pub.

This business networking event is great for people in the Harpenden area with a business or looking to start one. Our meetings are friendly and relaxed and you will find lots of help and support, plenty of new contacts and some great guest speakers.

Our event has open networking time from 9.30am -10am ( so don’t worry if you can’t get there before 10am) and then we start at 10am with introductions and the chance to share what help you need and what your business is all about. After a short break for more refreshement we will hear from our guest speaker or we will deliver a mini workshop.

Remember to bring along your business cards and any literature to share with the group, please note there is no room to display items.

There is limited parking at the venue, and plenty more free parking at the local Co-Op just a 3 minute walk away.

You must book in advance.   Should you need to cancel, even on the actual morning, we will carry your booking over to a future meeting – just let us know if you can’t make it. There are no membership fees. Regular attendees can gain access to a free membership after attending for 8 meetings in a year.

Although this Harpenden business networking group is aimed at Mums in business we welcome anyone along, so just book and attend – there is no membership fee, professional lock out or strict rules which are often associated with business networking.


This month our speaker is Jo Soley, with “Why selling doesn’t need to be sticky”.

Jo Soley works with heart-centred female entrepreneurs who are overwhelmed with their sales and marketing to provide clarity to produce a steady flow of ideal clients to reach their desired monthly income target.

Jo will be speaking about how when we train in something we love and want to share our message with others, we’ll likely hit a point where we realise that the clients don’t just appear! And that’s when the overwhelm can kick in.  Selling can feel forced and uncomfortable and it doesn’t have to – its literally inviting someone to have a conversation with you, and Jo will show you how!

Jo has created a unique 7 step system for you to get more clients and move your business to the next level mastering:

  1. CONNECTION to your message – if you are not completely clear about your message, how do you expect your clients to be?
  2. Who your ideal CLIENTS are. Everybody is NOT your client.
  3. CLARITY about your clients’ problems and the solutions you provide. A common mistake people make is failing to spell out the benefits – people buy benefits first.
  4. How to CREATE a package of products and services to take your clients on a journey with you. 
  5. CONSISTENCY in your marketing and branding.
  6. Ensuring the CONTENT you are sharing with the world is consistent and persistent.
  7. How to CONVERT all of this into a steady flow of ideal clients and the financial results that you desire for your business.
