Businesswomen UnLtd – Berkhamsted Business Networking Group

This group is run by Carli Wall from Synergy Business Support.

We meet each month at All Saints Church Hall. Please note you cannot park in the church grounds, please park on the surrounding roads.

This business networking event is great for people in the Berkhamsted area with a business or looking to start one. Our meetings are friendly and relaxed and you will find lots of help and support, plenty of new contacts and some great guest speakers.

Our event has open networking time from 9.30am -10am (so don’t worry if you can’t get there before 10am) and then we start at 10am with introductions and the chance to share what help you need and what your business is all about. After a short break for more refreshments, we will hear from our guest speaker or we will deliver a mini workshop.

Remember to bring along your business cards and any literature to share with the group, and anything you might want to display.

You must book in advance.   Should you need to cancel, even on the actual morning, we will carry your booking over to a future meeting – just let us know if you can’t make it. There are no membership fees. Regular attendees can gain access to a free membership after attending for 8 meetings in a year.

Although this Berkhamsted business networking group is aimed at Mums in business we welcome anyone along, so just book and attend – there is no membership fee, professional lock out or strict rules which are often associated with business networking.

Tracey BaumThis month our guest speaker is Tracey Baum from St Albans Life Practice. Tracey will be showing us how to ‘Own the room you’re in’, which encompasses body language, public speaking and presentation skills – ideal for becoming more comfortable at networking events, sharing your one-minute introductions, or even speaking at an event.

Did you know that only 7% of all communication is verbal therefore 93% of how and what we communicate is done via our body language and how we instinctively make decisions based on people’s non verbal signals.

Think about a time when you attended an event, professional or social, on your own, you would have walked in and either had to sit next to someone or walked up to someone. In a millionth of a second you would have decided who ‘looked’ friendly or alternatively who ‘looked’ more scary and avoided or headed toward that person.

In your business and professional life people will make decisions about you so learn how to make sure you’re the person they want to head toward not head away from.
